Yes. Cedri is an AI phone receptionist for small businesses in Canada. It answers the business line in English and French, books the appointment during the call, and texts the details to the owner and to the customer. Both languages are on the same phone number, with no "press 2 for French" menu: when a caller switches language, Cedri switches too. It costs $18.99 CAD a month with 30 answered calls included.

What "bilingual" should mean on a phone line

A phone line can be called bilingual when only its greeting is in two languages. For a small business in Canada, these are the things to check:

  • One number, no menu. A caller should not have to press a key to be served in French.
  • A switch in the middle of a call. Callers often start in one language and finish in the other. Ask to hear a call where that happens.
  • The whole call, not only the greeting: the questions, the booking and the summary you get after.
  • French your callers use. Listen for the words they would say, like "texto" and "soumission".

How Cedri handles two languages

Cedri opens the call in your business’s language and says it is an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. If the caller answers in the other language, or asks for it, Cedri carries on in that language, on the same call. It asks your trade’s questions, books the appointment during the call and texts the details to you and to the customer.

Here is the moment a caller switches, from a real call to the Cedri demo line with a scripted caller. What Cedri says is exactly what it answered:

Caller: “Pardon, je préfère continuer en français.”

Cedri: “Bien sûr, on continue en français. Alors pour mardi matin, nous avons neuf heures ou dix heures et demie.”

Other AI receptionists that list French

On our price comparison, the entry plans of AI-Receptionist.com, Aria and Ask Benny list French, or many languages, on their own pricing page (checked on October 14, 2026). A pricing page that says nothing about French is not proof that a product lacks it: ask, and call their demo. All the companies we checked are on the AI receptionist prices page, each linked to its source.

If your business is in Quebec

Your callers expect French first, and Law 25 sets rules for their personal information. AI receptionist for Quebec businesses says how Cedri works for Quebec businesses, and where call data is kept: Your bookings and customer records live in Canada. Your call audio and its transcript pass through the United States.
