Cedri is an AI phone receptionist for small businesses in Canada. It answers the business line in English and French, books the appointment during the call, and texts the details to the owner and to the customer. In Ontario it works the same way in Toronto, the GTA, Ottawa, London or Thunder Bay: a new line is searched in your own area code first, or you keep your number and forward it. One plan for all of Canada: $18.99 CAD a month, 30 answered calls included.

A local Ontario number, or your own

When you set up a new line, the number search opens on the area code of your business’s city: 416 in Toronto, 905 in Richmond Hill, 613 in Ottawa. Depending on the numbers available, it may offer a nearby code instead, and it says where each number rings. The regions it opens on:

  • Toronto: 416
  • GTA, Hamilton, Niagara: 905
  • Ottawa and East: 613
  • London, Kitchener, Windsor: 519
  • Central and North: 705
  • Thunder Bay and Northwest: 807

Every Ontario area code

The search knows all of them: 416, 647, 437, 942, 905, 289, 365, 742, 613, 343, 753, 519, 226, 548, 382, 705, 249, 683, 807. Would you rather keep the number your customers already have? Forward it to your Cedri line, every call or only the ones you miss. The call forwarding guide has the steps for Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Freedom, Virgin Plus and Cogeco, from each company’s own site.

English and French on the same line

Your line answers in its main language. When a caller speaks French, or asks for it, Cedri carries on in French on the same call, with no menu to press through, then asks your trade’s questions and books the appointment. How the bilingual line works.

Your customers’ information in Ontario

Ontario has no general private-sector privacy law of its own: the federal law, PIPEDA, applies to the personal information a business collects in its commercial activities, and Ontario’s PHIPA covers health information held by health care providers. Where Cedri keeps call data: Your bookings and customer records live in Canada. Your call audio and its transcript pass through the United States. Security.

Questions from Ontario

Is there an AI receptionist for businesses in Toronto?

Yes. Cedri answers Toronto business lines in English and French and books the appointment during the call. A new Toronto line is searched in 416 first, or you keep your own number and forward it.

How much does an AI receptionist cost in Richmond Hill?

Cedri costs $18.99 CAD a month or $189.99 a year, with 30 answered calls a month, in Richmond Hill as everywhere in Canada: there is no regional price. A Richmond Hill line is searched in 905 first. Other companies’ entry prices, each from its own pricing page, are on the AI receptionist prices page.

Can I get an Ottawa number?

Yes, depending on the numbers available: an Ottawa business is offered 613 first, and the picker says where any other number it offers rings. Ottawa callers who speak French are answered in French on the same line.

Do I have to change my number?

No. Keep it and forward your calls to Cedri with your phone company. Your provider may charge for forwarded minutes. Call forwarding guide.

Can I hear it before I pay?

Yes. Recorded calls, with their transcripts, are on the demo page, and you can try the demo there before you choose a plan.
